La presencia de anticuerpos es indicativo de una previa infecci\u00f3n con Brucella.<\/p>\n<p>FPA para Brucella ha sido validado para analizar muestras de varias especies entre las cuales est\u00e1n los bovinos, porcinos, caninos y otras especies mayores. Tambi\u00e9n es apta para muestras humanas.<\/p>\n<p>La t\u00e9cnica de diagn\u00f3stico utiliza un O-polisac\u00e1rido (OPS) extra\u00eddo de la bacteria y marcado con fluoresce\u00edna. El instrumento de Fluorecencia Polarizada \u00a0es usado para medir el estado de polarizaci\u00f3n de la luz emitida por el conjugado OPS. Cuando no hay anticuerpos presentes, la polarizaci\u00f3n es baja.
